How to do bust adjustments
What you'll learn...
- The difference between the high bust and full bust
- How to choose the correct size (using your high bust)
- How to calculate and execute a full bust adjustment (trust me, you don't need a small bust adjustment)
Plus: How to apply these techniques to ANY sewing pattern! (even if all they give you is one bust meausurement on the size chart)
MODULE TWO
Analysing and perfecting the bust point
What you'll learn:
- Why the bust point is essential to getting a perfect fit.
- How to find and adjust to YOUR bust point, creating a completely custom fit.
- How to move your bust point vertically and horizontally
MODULE THREE
Customise your bodice
What you'll learn:
- How to correctly grade through the waist and hip
- How to move the strap stand so you never have to pick up a fallen strap again!
- How to create a double dart for a smoother finish
- How to redraft your facing to match your adjusted pattern piece.

Your sewing teacher
Hey, I’m Lottie. Pattern cutter, block maker and fitting specialist.
I believe that sewing a handmade wardrobe allows us to reconnect with our beautiful bodies (yes, your beautiful body!) and develop skills to pass onto future generations. I am passionate about supporting sewists to fan the flames of their creative inner fire.
I spent years sewing unsuccessfully until I finally cracked the mysteries of fitting, mastered pattern cutting and began making completely custom clothes that I LOVE to wear.
My journey has taken me deeper and deeper into the technicalities of sewing and pattern making and I have trained as a pattern cutter as well as completed other courses for sewing at a professional level. But, truth be told, much of my expertise comes from sheer experience at the sewing machine (and drafting table).
Making my own clothes feels like a boycott of fast fashion and I feel pride in preserving the craft. Homemade garments feel like precious treasure.

The sewing pattern included with the course goes up to a high bust measurement of 145cm/ 57". This is the ONLY body measurement you need to go by. Everything else I will teach you how to custom fit!
